This ride will start and end at Donovon Park, at the intersection of Parson Creek Rd. and Friday Creek Rd. The ride will go North to Bellingham, climb the Yew Street Hill to Whatcom Falls Park, then take the rail-trail and lettered streets to the waterfront. From there we'll loop through Fairhaven on the South Bay Trail and return utilizing the Interurban Trail to reconnect with the Old Samish Highway. The total ride is about 37 miles, with about 2050 feet of climbing. We'll take most of the middle of the day to do it, averaging between 10 and 15 mph. I expect the ride to last about 4 hours. I'm limiting the number of participants (if there are any) to six people, because I don't want to crowd the trails and I don't want to lead a large group through downtown. There are many facilities along the route, as well as an outhouse at the beginning and end. Be prepared to ride on hard packed rail-trail, and city streets with car traffic for portions of the route. We'll ride together with frequent regroups, and a sweeper riding with the last person. Stops will be by consensus. Here's the route: RWGPS Route
