Author Last Post

Tuesday’s ride will start from The Corner Pub 14565 Allen West Rd, Bow, WA 98232.

Our route will head east then north to Blanchard area, circle east and north to Alger. Friday Creek and Bow Hill Road, Worline, Ershig, Field and Thomas. Back for lunch at The Corner Pub on Allen West Road.

Our route can be downloaded here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50231610

Printable version can be had from the link below.

There are a couple of hills on this route and it's a little bit longer than last week’s.

Please review the route to see if it suits your temperament.

We might have a surprise up by Alger. I’ve checked the WASDOT website but I'm not able to determine if the salmon habitat restoration work will impact us on Tuesday. If it does, we’ll modify.

Let’s ride our own rides. Faster riders feel free to pull ahead but stay as a unit. Let’s not drop anyone.

Less fast riders should also group together. Keep an eye on each other. Leave space, don’t crowd. Slow slightly to allow the least fast rider to stay connected to a larger body of riders.

It’s highly encouraged to preview the route in Ride With GPS (RWGPS).

Both e-bikes and acoustic are welcome.

Safe bike handling skills are required.

If you finish ahead of the main body of riders, please text me when you are safely back at the starting point (John Yaeger 360.708.6862).

Let’s buddy up and look out for each other.

Consider activating Location Sharing in Google Maps or Apple Maps.

On these club rides we don't leave anyone behind.

Helmets are required.

Sign up for this ride online and complete the release/waiver.

There will be a paper sign up form on morning of ride if all else fails.

Join the Skagit Bicycle Club to receive notifications of rides and other social events. At $30/individual or $35/family per year it’s tremendous value.

Cheers, John
