SBC Member RIDER ALERT Quick Notice

10am Welcome Ride, Whidbey Coffee, B’ton, 17.2 mi,...

Yes, it’s very late, sorry, but we can still ride tomorrow. Dust off the ol’ bike and let’s meet in Burlington, Whidbey Coffee 1960 Marketplace Dr, Burlington, WA 98233 https://maps.app.goo.gl/D25msVdvsYv8m9mD7 This is across for Home Depot.

This will be a great ride for those who would like to get out and "take the airs”. We’ll be going nice and easy.

If you’re a tiger, go fast. Train your heart out. I’ll be less ambitious. We can leave together, then come back at our own pace.

Food can be found around the area post ride.

Here is the route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/23207801

Download the route on your smartphone. You can navigate with it. You can track your time and miles. You can even record your heart rate. RWGPS can do pretty much everything except buy you lunch.

If you’re not into that, just hang out and we’ll cycle along together, I know where we’re going.

Both e-bikes and acoustic are welcome.

Safe bike handling skills are required.

E-bike riders can expect to ride at a pedal bike social pace of 12-14 mph.

Faster riders feel free to pull ahead as a group.

If you finish ahead of the main body of riders, please text me when you are safely back at the starting point (John Yaeger 360.708.6862).

Let’s buddy up and/or look out for each other.

On these club rides we don't leave anyone behind.

Helmets are required.

Sign up for this ride online and complete the release/waiver.

There will be a paper sign up form on morning of ride if all else fails.

Join the Skagit Bicycle Club to receive notifications of rides and other social events. At $30/individual or $35/family per year it’s tremendous value.

(Just a little inside info: Join now and you will be a member, eligible to celebrate with us at the upcoming Mardi Gras Fête at the Mount Vernon Library Commons.)

Skagit Bicycle Club is a great place to meet a wide variety of local riders and have fun while keeping our hearts healthy.
