RAMROD Cancelled for 2024
The Redmond Cycling Club (RCC) has organized the RAMROD for several decades and it has become a signature northwest cycling event. This would have been the 40th anniversary, however, it has been cancelled due to the National Park Service deciding not to issue permits for the use of the traditional route.
Riders from all over the state, the nation, and even internationally have participated in RAMROD; I'm sure many of SBC members have also ridden it. Cascade Bicycle Club, Passport to Pain, bike blogs, and Reddit groups have all supported RCC’s continuing efforts to work with Rainier National Park to hold this 39-year cycling event.
RCC has reached out to us to make sure that everyone is aware of these unfortunate developments and their efforts to find a way to continue the ride. To stay informed and to learn who to contact to support RCC check out http://www.redmondcyclingclub.org/RAMROD/RAMROD.html
