President’s Message – August 2024

What follows is a big ask. We need people to step up to fill board and officer positions. I sent this out as a quick alert in mid-July, but there were no responses. Actually, only about one-third of our membership opened the email, so I’m making another try. Please read it and give some thought to helping to lead our club.

SBC SOCIAL RIDES

2024 SBC summer Social Riders continue to be a dedicated group that welcomes all riders. The Tuesday/Thursday rides routinely have 12-15 “core group” riders who enjoy a 25-ish mile social group ride at 12-14 mph. The group will stop when there is something interesting to see (see pic) and always have a snack/lunch afterward.

It’s time for what has become an SBC summer tradition, the August picnic. This year it will be on Saturday, August 24th at Riverfront Park, 901 River Road in Sedro Woolley. Catering is again provided by Double Barrel Barbecue. Members are asked to bring a dessert and non-alcoholic drinks.
