The grand finale of the SBC Summer Concert Series Rides is shaping up to be a big hit. This Thursday, guitar master Chris Egar takes the stage at 6 PM on the Mount Vernon Riverwalk Plaza (next to District Brewing). This guy rocks! If you missed his show in Anacortes a few weeks ago, here’s your second chance. Check out his music on his website: https://chrisegerband.com/video/ and get ready for a great evening.

Look for the colorful Skagit Bicycle Club banner marking our gathering spot. Set out your folding chairs before we roll out. Food trucks and nearby restaurants will be available if you want to grab a bite or a drink—or feel free to bring your own.

About the Ride

This route is a beauty. We’ll loop east of Mount Vernon through quiet farmland and pass four lakes along the way. Most of the ride is on low‑traffic roads, though there are a couple of spots where we’ll need to stay alert for cars.

Please note there’s more elevation gain than our typical Skagit Flats rides. Make sure you can comfortably maintain an average pace of 10–13 mph before registering. A sweep will be present to ensure no one gets left behind.

District Brewery, ccw loop, Big Rock-Clear Lake, 21.8 mi, 639 ft.

The Fine Print — Pre‑Ride Considerations

  • Inclement weather or moderate to poor air quality will cancel the event.
  • Check your email two hours before ride time for any updates.

·       Important Note: Please make sure you cancel your registration should you not make the ride. Your courtesy will make record keeping for the $150 gift card promotion much easier. Additional information can be found in the Summer Ride Series article https://www.skagitbicycleclub.org/content.aspx?page_id=722&club_id=587323&item_id=3096015&ht=1
