Description: Join us as we return to ride the route of a former Northern Pacific Railway spur, built in 1901 to transport ore from mines in the area. The trail is named after the "Whitehorse Express," the historic name of the railway. The route is 24 miles with 557 feet of elevation gain starting from the Trafton Barn and riding to the Oso Memorial and return. We will spend some time taking in the Memorial before starting our ride back.
Pace and Route: This will be an easy to social pace (10-13 mph) ride. The trail offers a little of everything; crushed rock/gravel, pavement and grass. There are limited services on the trail so plan for enough water and munchies to meet your needs.

After Ride Lunch: Moe's Coffee (no relation), 1080 Seeman St., Darrington, WA 98241. https://moescoffee.com/darrington
Parking: Trafton Barn - 26703 115th Ave NE Arlington, WA 98223. IMPORTANT: The address is for a private residence. Look for the barn on your left just before the address. There is only room for 6-8 cars at the Barn trailhead, so carpooling is strongly encouraged. The start of the ride cuts through an active farm/private property, so we need to be good cycle ambassadors.
