The ride goes east out of town, north at the roundabout and across Hwy 20.
We’ll take the gravel path along the water’s edge, continue north to Josh Wilson and left into Bayview Elementary School. This just happens to be the staging area for the famous Skagit Spring Classic.
We’ll u-turn and head south on Higgins Airport Way, Ovenell, Avon Allen and McLean to Roozengaarde on Beaver Marsh Road. Here we’ll have the opportunity to view the display garden people come from far and wide to see. There is a charge for entry ($15 purchased ahead on line https://roozengaarde.ticketspice.com/2024-skagit-valley-tulip-festival, or $17 for walk-up entry).
Some of us may prefer not to view the gardens and rather head straight back to LaConner via Calhoun and Chilberg Roads. Don’t feel any obligation to stop at the display gardens if that’s of no interest to you.
Food can be had in LaConner post ride.
This week’s ride is a little unique and may be just perfect for you.
