We’ll leave O’Donnell’s Farmhouse, 13724 Laconner Whitney Rd, Mount Vernon, WA 98273, at 10AM. Arrive just a little earlier for a few safety reminders. You know things like using hand signals, riding in a line, forming smaller groups, being aware of our surroundings at all times, be prepared for the worst, so we can enjoy the best. This route may be named similar to others, to avoid confusion, download from this link: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53422417 (copy & paste into browser) Good food inside after our ride. It’s highly encouraged to preview the route in Ride With GPS (RWGPS). Both e-bikes and acoustic are welcome. Safe bike handling skills are required. E-bike riders can expect to ride at a pedal bike social pace of 12-14 mph. Faster riders feel free to pull ahead as a group. If you finish ahead of the main body of riders, please text me when you are safely back at the starting point (John Yaeger 360.708.6862). Let’s buddy up and/or look out for each other. Consider activating Location Sharing in Google Maps or Apple Maps. On these club rides we don‘t leave anyone behind. Helmets are required. Sign up for this ride online and complete the release/waiver. There will be a paper sign up form on morning of ride if all else fails. Join the Skagit Bicycle Club to receive notifications of rides and other social events. At $30/individual or $35/family per year it’s tremendous value.

Hey Riders, This Tuesday, 10:00AM, feel free to meet up at the gravel parking lot east of Fir-Island Conway Lutheran Church, 20975 Skagit City Rd, Mount Vernon, WA 98273. There is no restaurant, no bathroom, not even a sani-can on site so take that into account before arriving. Our route can be seen and downloaded here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53381338 A link to a printable map can be found attached below. This route has been designed by Wally of Cascade Bicycle Club, he rides up here often. The hills won’t bother you, believe me. The wet, warm, windy weather? So many times we can slip in a 2 hour bike ride without too much discomfort being involved. Usually it sounds worse than it really ends up being. Our post ride meal can not be at the Conway Pub because they are still closed on Tuesday. That leaves all the other establishments that are nearby, take your pick, bring lunch money. I’m going to have to skip this ride as I’ll be in court. My daughter Leizel’s divorce finally has a court date and it’s December 9-11, 2025. There has been a lot of preparation for this court date and I just can’t miss it. We’ll ride together next week, though. There is just one favor I ask of you: Please make sure the Big Guy gets something to eat. Have a nice ride. I’ll be thinking of all of you enjoying the freedom of the road and the many birds you’ll likely see. Both e-bikes and acoustic are welcome. Safe bike handling skills are required. E-bike riders can expect to ride at a pedal bike social pace of 12-14 mph. Faster riders feel free to pull ahead as a group. Let’s buddy up and/or look out for each other.
